Agile is a time boxed, iterative approach to software delivery that builds software incrementally, it allows the team to deliver business value early, and response to change quickly and timely. The framework used in a small delivery called Scrum, for the large delivery, SAFe is created to address management issues in the application of Scrum at enterprise scale.
SAFe is an online knowledge base of proven success patterns for implementing Lean-Agile IT, software and systems development. It provides comprehensive guidance for work at the enterprise Portfolio, Large Solution, Program and Team levels.
SAFe 4.5 has just been released. Improvements made in this version comparing to the previous version are :
- Test ideas more quickly using the Lean Startup Cycle and Lean User Experience (Lean UX).
- Deliver much faster with Scalable DevOps and the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
- Simplify governance and improve portfolio performance with Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Lean Budgets.
